But nevertheless, it remains a universe in which one must respect certain rules and where each living being has adapted and learned to live by developing its own weapons to defend itself, to hunt and to survive. Which is what makes this place so majestic and disturbing at the same time.
With some basic knowledge, the forest offers a castaway everything that they need for food, shelter, moving about, finding their way, healing themselves and surviving.
During your expedition, accompanied by our guide, you will find out how to make the best use of what the forest has to offer. It will be your chance to learn different techniques of survival, bushcraft or orientation, be they modern or from Amerindian practices.

Description

During your expedition, accompanied by our guide, you will discover how to get the best out of the forest. This will be an opportunity for you to learn different techniques of survival, bushcraft or orientation, whether they are modern or from Amerindian practices.
An experience in the respect of the nature which welcomes you in a spirit of benevolence.

A 7-day adventure setting off from Manaus. We will travel with our guide to an isolated area of the Amazon rainforest by motorized canoe.

An experience in the heart of the forest which will allow you to:

Discover the Amazon through total immersion in the forest
Learn to identify medicinal plants
Observe the flora and fauna
Learn to set up a makeshift camp
Start a fire and eat in the jungle
Identify sources of drinking water
Identify fruits and plants that are edible
Fish and hunt for food
Identify animals and recognize their presence

Organization

Where will you sleep and what will you eat?

We will bivouac each evening in the heart of the forest, often at the edge of the river where we will install our hammocks according to the Amazonian tradition.
Each of our expeditions is unique. During our advance in the forest, with our guide, we will define a place to bivouac which can change, during your adventure.

Meals will be prepared by our guide wherever you are in the forest. The fruit of gathering, fishing and hunting will be your main food. However, we provide a stock of provisions in order to ensure a minimum of caloric intake for all participants and for the entire duration of the stay.

Participant profile

I am fit and healthy. I practice a sporting activity occasionally and I am able to push myself but I need some rest in between my efforts.
This is not a military/commando training, nor is it a sporting event.

    The program

    The program gives you an idea of how your trip will unfold. You are the protagonist of your adventure, and we will adapt to fulfil your wishes.

    The people you will meet, the animals you will see, the landscapes that will pass before your eyes, the unique moments you will share that are out of this world are impossible to convey in their intensity on this page.
    Each one of these elements, will, in our view, make your journey to the Amazon Rainforest complete.

    Days 1 and 2

    Day 1 : We will pick you up from your hotel early morning to head to the Port of Manaus. We will set off on the Rio Negro, and cross through the Meeting of Waters. After having seen the confluence of the Rio Negro and the Rio Solimões we will head to the opposite bank to hit the road and reach the Mamori lake. We will board a boat once to go and meet a local community and have lunch. After our meal, we will take a motorized canoe on which we will move far away from any zone of human activity to go deep into the jungle. We will set up our first makeshift camp, the start of our adventure.

    Day 2 : Today will be dedicated to discovering the flora and fauna and flora. Our guide will introduce you to the local flora and fauna, as you come across it in the forest. You will learn how to find your food, whether by foraging, hunting or fishing. We will go back to our camp at the end of the day, with timing dependent on the surprises and evolution of our adventure.




    Days 3 and 4

    Day 3 : Aboard our canoe, we will leave our first camp to set off and discover the forest.
    The Amazon Rainforest possesses very diverse areas in terms of its flora and fauna, and today we will enter into a new environment. Once we have set up our second camp we will head out to learn new hunting techniques. A night time fishing trip is also planned.

    Day 4 : We will set off from our camp on foot, for a day of trekking. Today, you will be the ones setting up camp with minimal assistance from the guides. You will put what you have learnt into practice. The guides will be on hand to offer you advice and help you hone your techniques.



    Days 5 to 7

    Day 5 : Following on from the previous day, we will head out in search of food, and it is you who will lead the way! Our guides will of course be there to accompany you and help you put all that you have learned into practice.

    Day 6 : In early morning we will go back to the camp where he had left our canoe. We will wrap up the day with a night time boat trip to view the nocturnal fauna from our vessel.

    Day 7 : We will slowly return to civilization, as we cross the Mamori lake. We will leave behind our canoe after having crossed the lake and we will hit the road, route headed for the banks of the Rio Solimões. We will cross the river to reach the Port of Manaus via the Rio Negro. Our arrival is scheduled for around 5:00 p.m.
